The journey of Wesley Methodist Church Edmonton is a testament to faith, vision, and community. It all began on October 30, 2011, when Rev. Dr. Samuel O. Agyapong gathered with three others, Ebenezer Acheampong, Innocent Asemnor, and Elimla Cortin at his apartment to discuss establishing a Methodist Church under the Methodist Church Ghana. By their second meeting on November 13, 2011, their number had grown to seven, united by a shared dream. Determined to secure a place of worship, the Asemnor family opened their residence for the initial service on November 20, 2011. Led by Very Rev. Dr. Agyapong, the gathering of seven named the humble beginning of the church. Soon, the church moved to the basement of St. Agnes Anglican Church, thanks to the generosity of Rev. Stephen Hartfield and his congregation. This relocation, on the first Sunday of December 2011, allowed the church to welcome more people into its fellowship.
